Bring your favorite side dish or dessert and join us for hamburgers and hot dogs.

At an elevation 8,800 feet, Balsam Glade Picnic Area is one of those special places for a picnic.  Located on the East side of the Sandia Mountains, Balsam Glade has restrooms and handicap access, easy nature trails, great overlook views and tall trees.  Dogs on a leash are welcome, too.

Please note:  There is a $3 fee per vehicle, which allows you access to all areas of mountain including Sandia Peak.

People interested in carpooling will be leaving from MCC at 10:30 am.
