Considered Getting Married at PRIDE?

Every PRIDE the MCCA Church and the Reverend Judith Maynard offers same-genderlng loving couples an opportunity to get “married” at PRIDE. While your “Holy Union” is not legally recognized by the State of New Mexico or the Federal Government, we believe that God honors your relationship.

Each couple will receive a Certificate, sparkling cider punch and a wedding cupcake. Albuquerque PRIDE is generously providing a space for your ceremony with two attendants (or more) and friends and family.

You can register online at www.AlbuuquerquePRIDE or www.MCCABQ.com. Be sure to purchase your entry tickets in advance. Decide on a time you want to be wed: 12 noon – 4 pm Saturday, June 30th. Rev. Judith will provide couples with sample vows and ring exchanges, or you can say your own vows!

2011 Wedding Application

CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRY

Beginning in May we will rev up our children and youth ministry.

1st & 3rd Sunday – Children will have learning and creative time in the Celebration Hall during regular worship.

2nd & 4th Sunday – A children’s message will be given during worship and activity packets provided.

We have a strong commitment to growing our children and youth ministry and need your help! First, we need our children and youth to be present during Sunday service. Second, we want to hear from you! Call Pastor Judy at 505.268.5252.

Coming in July we are planning on Vacation Bible School for one week – during half of the day. No cost and fun for the kids! More information to follow!

SERMON SERIES ON FORGIVENESS

Beginning in May there will be a sermon series on forgiveness. Why forgive someone who has wronged you? How? Does it make a difference to forgive? What are the blessings from forgiving?

We will have two groups which will meet to follow-up on the series, one that meets during the day and another in early evening. Groups will meet for 45 minutes to an hour. Call Pastor Judy to register or for more information.

MCCA YARD SALE (DATES CHANGED)

The MCCA Annual Yard Sale is one of our largest and most successful fundraisers. This year the event will take place on Friday, May 18th and Saturday, May 19th.

We need your “stuff” – household items, appliances, knick knacks, clothing in good condition, furniture, tools, books, and other items that you no longer use or want but could be a great find for someone else!

We need volunteers to staff the event and help sort and price on Thursday, May 17. Contact Andy for more information.

PRIDE PLANNING MEETING

Albuquerque PRIDE is Saturday, June 30th and we need to start planning our float and booth. Please join with Pastor Judy for a planning meeting on Sunday, May 13, following worship service.

All are welcome to participate. We need people to staff our booth, help with float, ride on float, and help PRIDE in other areas. Come out and help MCCA shine at Pride!
